Overview
Step 1: Accessing your Netgear TA612V
- Open a browser such as Internet Explorer or Netscape® Navigator
- Connect to the broadband
voice adapter by typing http://192.168.61.1 in the address field of your browser, and then click Enter.
- When prompted, enter admin for the router user name and password for the router password in lower case letters.
Step 2: Configuring your SIP settings
- Go to the VoIP settings menu
- Service name: byo.engin.com.au
- For the SIP control port enter: 5060
- Outbound proxy: syd.byo.engin.com.au
- You can disable VAD for better quality calls (silent suppression)
Step 3: Configuring your engin Account
- Enter your Display Name.
- Telephone number: Your engin number. For example: 0280048321
- Username: Your engin number. For example: 0280048321
- The password field will require your engin SIP password (not account password)
- For the register expires field, enter 900
- For the codec
field, you can select G711a or G729ab
- Finally select register and your SIP service should authenticate to the engin network.
