How do I connect my Netcomm V300 to the engin network?

Overview

You must download this firmware before connecting your V300 to the engin network otherwise you will have 30 second dropouts.

Step 1: Login to the V300
  1. Login to the V300 with your web browser http://192.168.30.1
  2. Enter the Username: admin, Password: admin to access the V300
Step 2: SIP menu
  1. Go to the SIP menu
  2. Go to Configuration
Step 3:  SIP Proxy Information
  • Preferred codec G729
  • Preferred ptime:   20
  • Use SIP Proxy: Yes
  • Host / Address URL:  syd.byo.engin.com.au
  • SIP Proxy port:  5060
  • Register Expire Time:  900
  • Domain Address: byo.engin.com.au
Step 4: Authentication Details
  • Display Name: Your name
  • VoIP Phone Number: 0280040000 (your engin number)
  • Auth. ID: 0280040000 (your engin number)
  • Auth. Password:   Not your engin password. Check your summary page within your engin account.
  • Save and apply your settings.
