Overview
Step 1: Login to your Telstra 2wire Modem
- Login to your 2wire modem using the IP address
or URL of http://home/mdc or http://10.0.0.138/mdc
- By default there is no username and password
Step 2: Enabling Direct IP mode
- Go to “Configure” under “Broadband
Link” on the left hand panel.
- Change “Atm Encapsulation” to a type that supports bridged mode (bridged llc or bridged vc-mux).
Step 3: Disabling routing
- Change “Connection Type” to “Direct IP” and submit.
- Go to “Configure Services” under Advanced on the left hand panel.
- Make sure you uncheck “enable routing” and click submit
- Your gateway
should now be in enabled in bridged mode. In this mode tr69 and dhcp do not work. The gateway
will have the ip address
of the lan
interface, ie 10.0.0.138 can be used to manage the unit.
