I have a Motorola SBG-900, how do I enable remote admin?
There are a total of 3 steps to configure remote access. Remote access is provided using a Web browser on the remote client, and connecting to the Web server on the SBG900. The remote access session is secured using https on port 443
Overview
Step 1: Login to the SBG900
- Type your Router IP Address
(preceded by http://) in the address bar of the browser, as shown below. Note: The Router IP Address
of your router is shown on the left side of this instruction screen. If you don't know it, you can try the default gateway
IP is which is 192.168.0.1
- You should see a pop-up style box prompting you for your username and password.
- Enter your username and password now. By default the username is admin, and the password is motorola. Click the Log In button to log in to your router.
Step 2: Enable Remote Admin
- Go to Admin > Advanced
- Select " Enable Remote Access"
- Apply and save all changes
Step 3: Provide your Public IP
- Go to What's My IP
- Email the IP to the helpdesk
