How do I enable remote admin for the Speedtouch 536?

Overview

You can make your SpeedTouch accessible from the Internet with regard to remote support. This way, you can allow your helpdesk to access your SpeedTouch™ remotely.

Step 1: Login to the Speedtouch 536 modem
  1. Login to your speedtouch modem using the IP address 10.0.0.138
  2. Enter the username: admin, and password: admin if necessary
Step 2: Enable Remote admin
  1. In the menu select Toolbox > Remote Assistance.
  2. Click Enable Remote Assistance.

Step 3: Provide your Remote access details
  1. Provide the following parameters to engin:
  2. The URL (the HTTPS link)
  3. User name and Password
  4. engin is now able to access your SpeedTouch™ via the secure HTTPs link in combination with the provided certificate (a secure authentication mechanism).
Step 4: Provide your Public IP
  1. Go to What'sMyIP
  2. Send your details to the helpdesk
