How do I setup my Asus WL series router to my ISP using PPPoE?

Overview

Step 1: Login to your Asus router
  1. To access the Asus router configuration screens: Open your web browser. Type the default IP address http://192.168.1.1
  2. Enter in the username: admin, and password: admin
Step 2: Run the setup wizard to connect  to your ISP
  1. When you login to the Asus WL series router, you will be presented with several options.
  2. Run the Quick Setup Wizard to configure your PPPoE connection automatically or follow the Step 3:


Step 3: Setup PPPoE manually
  1. Select WAN connection Type: PPPoE
  2. Select WAN connection Speed : Auto Negotiation
  3. Leave the WAN IP settings options
  4. Enter your ISP 's DNS into the DNS field. If you are not sure of your ISP 's DNS, select "Obtain Automatically"
  5. Enter your username and password to connect to your ISP 's network
  6. Save all changes
  7. Select Status and Log to view if you are connected to your service provider.
