How do I setup my Draytek 2820 to the engin VoIP network?

Overview

Step 1:  Login to the Draytek 2820
  1. Type or click http://192.168.1.1
  2. Please type default values (both username and password are Null) on the window for the first time accessing and click OK for next screen.
Step 2:  Setup your engin SIP account
  1. Go to VoIP > SIP accounts
  2. Select " Register via Auto"
  3. For Domain / Realm enter: byo.engin.com.au
  4. For the Proxy field enter: syd.byo.engin.com.au
  5. Tick " Act as outbound proxy"
  6. Display Name: Your Name
  7. For Auth ID : Your engin number (i.e. 0280040000)
  8. For Password: Your engin SIP password (not to login to your account)
  9. Expiry time: 900 seconds
  10. For Ring port: port 1
Step 3:  Setup voice codecs
  1. Go to VoIP > Phone Settings
  2. Ensure Codec is selected as G729a, you can can change to G711a if bandwidth is available.
Step 4:  DTMF settings
  1. Go to VoIP > Phone Settings > Advanced Settings
  2. Make sure DTMF is set to INBAND (RFC2833 does not work)
  3. Set the region to Australia
Step 5:  Check Registration
  1. Go to VoIP > SIP account settings
  2. You should notice " R"  for registration which means your service is now ready to be used.
