Overview
You can just about do anything with a dial plan. Here is an example on how to block caller ID to the engin voicemail centre by dialling #2. The dial plan structure is quite simple to understand "#2" is the number you want to dial to reach the destination followed by :18310290164500 which is the number you are wanting to dial. The final dial string would then look like <#2:18310290164500>.
Step 1: Accessing your unit
- Connect your phone into the PHONE port of your Linksys ATA.
- Dial **** then 110#, the SPA-3102 will announce the current IP address
- Once you have the IP address of your SPA-3102 you can access the web interface by opening a web browser and typing the following in the Address: http:/ /< IP Address of SPA-3102> For example: http://192.168.1.10
- Go to Voice > Admin Login > Advanced
- Click the URL
- If a username and password login appears enter username" admin, and your engin SIP password.
- If you decide to lock down the user side of the SPA-3102, the username is"user"
Step 3: Update the dial plan
- Go to LINE 1
- Enter the following dial plan into LINE 1 of the Linksys web menu (at the bottom of the page)
- Enter your speed dial following the example above. For example: To dial your mobile, by pressing #1, you can enter <#1:0425666777> or to dial #2 to reach the engin voicemail centre, simply copy and paste <#2:18310290164500>.
